This is a song we learned at the beginning of the year. Use the instrumental section in the middle to practice your rhythm patterns (listed at the bottom of this page) or to make up your own patterns. You can use your voice or be creative turning items in your home into instruments (with a grown-up's permission, of course!).

Here are the lyrics we used in class:
When the saints go marching in |
I wanna sing |
Swing low, sweet chariot |
Oh when the saints,
go marching in, Oh when the saints, go marching in, I want to be in that number, When the saints, go marching in! |
I wanna sing, sing, sing,
I wanna shout, shout, shout, I wanna sing, I wanna shout, Hallelu! When those gates are open wide, I'll be standing by your side, I wanna sing, I wanna shout, Hallelu! |
Swing low, sweet chariot,
comin' for to carry me home! Swing low, sweet chariot, comin' for to carry me home! |
